CASA of the Laurel Highlands

Meet Shemariel, Tyler, & Sharon of CASA of the Laurel Highlands, Beginnings Inc! They are incredibly kind & we were blessed to be able to meet them & learn more about them. Now it’s your turn!
CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) helps children who have experienced abuse or neglect by training volunteer advocates to support children who are in the court system through no fault of their own.
They do such important work. They are truly taking care of our area’s children when they are at their most vulnerable. They provide a light in these children’s lives through connection, service, & support. They know the importance of respecting a child’s inherent right to grow up with dignity in a safe environment & making sure decisions are made in the child’s best interest. They’ve found that children with a CASA volunteer are more likely to do better in school, find a permanent home, & less likely to re-enter foster care.
Imagine the impact on the next generation if these children knew someone was FOR them.
So how can you help?
1. Become a volunteer advocate! They’re having more training classes this fall!
2. Donate
3. Get involved: If you follow them on social media, they’re always sharing ways you can help, including fundraising & outreach opportunities.
