Meet Jason Truscott, owner of The Rustic Blend Cafes! Established in 2024 in Windber and now with a second location in Richland, the cafes were born out of a passion for great local coffee and a desire to create a cozy space where everyone feels at home. We thoroughly enjoyed meeting him, so now it’s your turn to learn more through what he shared with us below!

“ Hello my name is Jason Truscott! I grew up in Johnstown, PA and have always loved to cook. From when I was just a little kid cooking beside my grandmother, to now. I’ve worked as a busboy, waiter, line cook, kitchen manager, and now own two cafes. I served 5 years in the US Coast Guard and would not be where I am today without the help of my then Chief Sondrini.

Our main philosophy at The Rustic Blend Cafes is that we don’t take shortcuts, and we try to deliver high quality food and drinks in a timely manner at a reasonable price. We also consider our customers more like friends.

We offer breakfast and lunch, and once a month we offer a dinner reservation. We love to support our community and appreciate the community support in return! ”
